Annie's cat, Mr. Muffin, has gone missing. She's postered the neighbourhood, but three weeks pass without any sign of him. Then, one night she hears the cat door creak and runs out of bed to discover that a creature of a different kind has walked into her life. What kind of cat is this—and what are his intentions? Will this new beast fill the role of the AWOL Mr.Muffin, or will he lead Annie down a path of delinquency?
