the distance between us.

There is a man living on the top floor of the redbrick building across from my office. On sunny days, he'll open his window and arrange bread crumbs on the ledge to attract the sparrows. Reminds me of Tesla. He did this, with pigeons, at the Hotel New Yorker. I'm reading this book, The Invention of Everything Else, and there's some good pigeon scenes. You'd like it!
